Self-Hosted Monitoring Tools
I'm pretty excited about this one. Using the Uptime Kuma project on GitHub, along with utilization of docker containers on a local Raspberry Pi, and custom configuration file changes. I have now been able to accomplish Enterprise Grade device and service monitoring using different methods, like ICMP Pings, HTTP CRUD and/or site keyword checks, or TCP connection checks just to name a few. Notifications can be sent to authorized personal to report uptime and/or downtime via email, SMS, Telegram, or Microsoft Teams. This container can be deployed On-Prem or via Remote Hosting, like AWS or Azure and have very low physical device requirements to greatly reduce power consumption or monthly rental costs.
